Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pitch an essay to Convergencedescauses?
Send a 300-word abstract, a brief author note, and two prior writing samples to [email protected]. We respond within fourteen days, sometimes longer during reading seasons.
Do you accept unsolicited contributions?
Yes. We commission roughly 60 percent of our essays through open pitches and 40 percent through direct invitation. New voices are always welcome in either stream.
What is your letters programme?
A weekly email from the editors — one essay, one reading, one open question. Free, ad-free, and written the way letters used to be written.
Can institutions or brands collaborate on editorial?
Selectively. We consider co-commissioned series, event partnerships, and translation initiatives. We do not host sponsored content or advertorial disguised as essay.
A note from the editors
Convergencedescauses is built on the slow accumulation of considered thinking. Every essay in our archive arrived through a conversation — a letter, a coffee, a hesitant email. We treat that threshold with the same care we bring to the work itself.
If you are reading this, you are already part of the conversation. Write to us.
